i’ve been following this kid for like 5-6 years now. but i’m just so unimpressed lately. he could’ve been a respectable artist, but he’s not even an artist. all his past singles have been him ripping off some other well established artist. first of the recent, “Mistletoe” sounded like “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, then “Boyfriend” sounded like Future Sex/Love Sounds Justin Timberlake stuff, and now his most recent single “Die In Your Arms” has the same ooh aah’s as young Michael Jackson’s “We’ve Got a Good Thing Going”. These have all been catchy singles, and they’ve done incredibly well, but obviously they would do well because the originals that came before them did well. He’s a semi-talented kid, I just wish he could be a little more creative and original. But I guess not. Looking back 5-6 years ago, I expected a lot more out of him. sorry tumblr, i know you don’t care, but no one else does either and i just needed a place to write it.
